That was a good game. It was close from the first to the fourth quarter. Like Coach Gat said, it could have gone either way. But it shouldn't have even been close. If Bartlett is really the #2 team in this area, it should have beaten Millington especially with Olivia and Latesa out.

I got nothing to proof. The proof came from the game. Like Du and eveybody else says lists are wrong plenny. just play the game. And shutdown I am not looking for props from Du or nobody Bartlett is a good team and they will come back. The CA just got them to high in the Dandy 12.

I think exactly the opposite: just because Bartlett lost to a very good Millington team does not change my stance. As a matter of fact I am in no way wavering. Actually: based on what I have seen thus far this season in comparison to last season - I am even more confident.

 

The loss of one game to a valid opponent does not necessarily validate that a team is OR is not a worthy opponent. NOR does it make a statement that the team in question is not a top contender in their perspective division or area. Example: Fairly is capable of beating Memphis Central but that doesn??™t make them the best team in the area. That makes them the best team that night. No disrespect to Millington or to floorburns or to anyone or any team. Anyone is capable of being beat on any night by anybody. The final analysis of who is the best (Dandy Dozen or State or WHATEVER) will be decided throughout the season and during the course of tournament play. Floorburn??™s opinion is that Bartlett is veered to high (and I respect his opinion) and I say Bartlett is not veered high enough based on their personnel and different team dynamics that are necessary to be a top contender in Tennessee High School girls basketball.

 

I pride myself on not viewing the competition or my beloved Lady Panthers with my heart but rather with an objective eye. Bartlett has 7 players that can contribute in a highly competitive game and they also have every position covered to make them a viable opponent. As for rankings: number 1, 2, 3 or 13 ??“ I don??™t know ??“ but I guarantee Bartlett will be in the hunt to make it to the glass house come March.

 

I will say this in regards to the Millington game ??“ without great elaboration: I personally don??™t know why Bartlett changed it??™s game strategy that it had been executing from day one of the season. Bartlett has floated JJ between the one and two position all season (to keep the defenses unbalanced) until the Millington game which she played the entire game at the one which allowed for easy double teams as she crossed half court (ala last season). Bartlett chose not to do this in this particular game....????????

 

Oh yeah??¦.. One other fact: Bartlett was never in the Dandy Dozen at ALL last year until the last week of January where they came in at number 11 and Bartlett was not ranked in the state at all.
