BRSoccer
Looks like Canes got the update done before me. I've added all I can find at this time. I also made some corrections in Canes list that were errors from my original. So, copy and past this one to edit as it has some changes. At this count we have 49. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyone have an idea how this year compares to previous years in the number of college signees? Seems like there was a lot of talent across the state but no dominate stand outs like there had been in the past. I may be bias because I spent the last 10 years watching this age bracket grow up and play each other over the years. My daughter played with Stones River Strikers, TNFC, ODP and graduates this year from Siegel and it was my pleasure to watch her teams play clubs and high schools from east, west and mid tn. Over that time I got to know many of the players and parents from other areas and got see the talent across the state. Maybe its just me but its seems like there was a lot of depth at the 91 age bracket. I would be curious on the opinions from others of this years signing class. I'll be retiring also this year with Canes, h2odog, and DonCChatt. DonCChatt will you be at the Strikers Express premier league game later this month? If so I'll come over and try to find you. brsoccer

I know some girls signed last year in March, so I don't think we are done. With only 4 teams in the '91 age group, we should all get to visit at Club State. I think we are trying to play you guys April 18 as well for placement.

I think that there are a lot of girls that have received offers to play college ball but have decided to not pursue the opportunities. There are several additional Lobos players that have received the offers but have not pursued them. I know that in the case of my daughter, she just wants to be able to enjoy college life without the additional commitment level on top of academics. I really wish that she would have pursued college soccer, but it is ultimately her decision. As a parent though...it is really tough for us to turn down the $$ though and not be able to see her excel on the field! She is planning on playing college club soccer...which may progress to NCAA soccer her Sophomore year....we can only hope! Now....it is time to work on my younger daughter and college play! I know that's true about your daughter and she could play a lot of places, plus with her grades, WOW. With all her talent, I wish she wanted to continue. A year ago, my daughter said no and in June did a 180. Never thought she would be the only one from her school moving on. DI, big schools is a huge, huge commitment and even the academically gifted kids sometimes suffer. I am glad my daughter wants to play, but not driven to play at that level. Sounds like your daughter's got a plan and that's great for all of you.

And then....we still have the younger one that may consider it..... I know that your daugther will do well as she has been a great addition to our team this year. What is even better is that you will get to keep her close to home and still be able to watch her play!
CHAMPDDS
I'll be there. I'll have my two little ones with me -- a 5-year old red-head and his 4-year old little brother. Although, you may have to really look for them, they prefer to sit quietly in the stands, sharing company with their father, and only on a rare occassion are they actually heard, and if so, it is yelling support for their sister... Right Don ? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> David...

A year ago or so TNFC played the Express at Brentwood Academy and this little boy for whatever reason became my best friend and attached himself to my leg.
