If both win Tuesday (both should) there will be a coin flip Friday the 13th.......Wow what a day to flip a coin!

Winner doesn't play opening round Monday the 16th.....they get a bye and play the winner of the #4 vs #5 seed in Watertown the following Friday. Loser of the flip host Merrol Hyde Monday night and then will take on the winner of the #3 vs #6 seed at watertown.

I think I have that right......

#1 bye

#2 vs #7

#3 vs #6

#4 vs #5 all at higher seed'd gym

What a terrible way to decide seeding. Go to records against region teams, total points allowed against district teams, anything but a coin flip.

This may be one of those times when it's best to lose. Several times, the team that gets the bye looses some intensity with the in-action. But, either way, this isn't how the teams finish the season, just for seeding. Both teams will finish tied for 1st in the season, it's just that you can't have two teams on one side of a bracket.

I'm not sure I follow you. I understand losing intensity, but the loser of the coin flip will probably have to play Westmoreland again to get to the finals, the winner will not. Friendship had one fairly close game with Westmoreland and Gordonsville had 2. The winner of the flip is not guaranteed a trip to the district finals, but will have an easier route.
