I wouldn't try to make too much out of the fall baseball that is taking place at Oak Ridge. Many teams are missing some very fine players to other sports this fall. There are a few like South-Doyle that look to be well staffed, but others have infielders playing outfield, new young pitchers getting a look etc.

 

Brad Carr will always give South-Doyle a chance to win when on the mound. Powell has some fine players not playing and should have a deep pitching staff when Spring rolls around. Karns has 8 or 9 players in football. Oak Ridge is missing two fine players and really came on strong at the end of last season.

 

I look for West to again field a strong team and should play a schedule with more games in 2003. Maryville had a very fine JV team last year and should again come up with a good pitching staff. Bearden has some young tallent that can help next year.
