Creek Wood will be expected to be the cream of the crop in the district. Both Montgomery Central and Fairview will be contenders for the district crown from most experts point of view. Waverly will be a team expected to finish in the upper half of the district. Harpeth and Sycamore will be two teams expected to finish in the middle of the pack. Cheatham Co. & Stewart Co. will be projected to finish at the bottom of the district.

THESE ARE NOT MY PICKS HOWEVER.....................................

I think from top to bottom anyone in this district is capable of beating anyone. This means that game after game teams better come ready to play. Scores from yesterday show us some teams that got off to a good start.

Creek Wood beat Sycamore 3-0

Montgomery Central beat Fairview 7-6

Waverly Central beat Harpeth 6-0

Cheatham Co. swept Stewart Co. 4-3 & 5-2 in a double header.

Aside from the Waverly score the results show that every game was competitive /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

We all know Creek Wood will be on top, I was just tryng to give the girls some encouragement. I know first hand that they are capable of being a GREAT team. They just get down on themselves too easily. If they could keep their head up & get some confidence, who knows what they could accomplish.

Do not have fear because your coach knows what it takes to get to the big dance! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

I do not really worry anymore, I am already out of there. I know he knows what it takes but from the looks of the season so far idk if his knowledge alone can make a difference.

It appears fairview will not be a contender after their embarassing loss to Creek Wood. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I have seen them several times this year and I believe as well as "Birdie" does they will win district. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Oh great Noitall...While you were on your hiatus - vacation - doing that weekend jail sentance- or whereever you were- Sycamore eliminated Rossview from the MTSCA tournament to advance to the semi final. I asked for your opinion then but I'm sure you didn't have time to read over all the old posts. I don't guess you saw the any of that tourney? Talk about an embarrasing loss - Sycamore to Harpeth yesterday. I heard an observer say that was the first time he had seen a coach coach himself into a loss!

haha like i said in previous topic, we are pretty unpredictable! In all seriousness we might not seem like a challenge at times but we will come out and win when you least expect it. Don't be so quick to put Harpeth on the backburner we can be sneaky snakes!

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
