So what you are implying would be, that by her playing ball with her summer team has a lot to do with being the top one in 11AA? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

No... I'm stating the fact that Stephanie would stand out on any team...not just a weak HS team.

Just find it strange how someone from camden has such a strong opinion of 11AA players. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Some of us actually get out and see a little of the world outside our own tiny plastic bubble. I have opinions about alot of things...just ask /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Saunders (Cheatham Co.) Union

Christian (Harpeth) Tennesse Tech

Grimes (Sycamore) ??

Pacifici (Creek Wood) Bethel

Rye (Montgomery Central) ??

Carnahan (Waverly Central) Bethel

Jackson (Stewart Co.) ??

Rye is going to APSU but I do not believe she wants to play softball there. I have no clue about where Grimes is going or what she plans to do??? Are Lambert or Cooper planning to play ball at Columbia State or Vol State???

Lions4ever......thanks about the kind words on Steph. She is a great ball player and even better she is a wonderful human being. Her mother and father raised her great and she is going to be a success in whatever she pursues in the future. Her sister will be a freshman at CCCHS next year and she has great expectations. If she is as great of a person as Steph (which I am sure that she is) then she will be a success regardless of what her athletic abilities show on a softball diamond.

Sincerely,

JJ

Agreed... I know the family well and if Courtney is half as good on the diamond and in the classroom as Steph (and I know she will be) the team should count themselves lucky /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I look forward to our journeys to the east of the river next season. Should definitely make life alot more interesting in the spring.

I had the opportunity to coach with their father this season and he is an encyclopedia of softball knowledge. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge about softball and of how to coach girls to be better and how to help girls succeed both on and off of the field. I look forward to continuing to coach and more than that I look forward to continuing to gain valuable information from Steve because he has a ton of it to share.

We have a 2010 team meeting tomorrow night at CCCHS and I look forward to getting to meet Courtney and getting her on the field to see how she carries herself out there. If she is like Stephanie then she'll probably start from day one and play a ton of softball at the high school. You can never have too many kids like those (and I am not talking about kids who can hit HRs and strike out 15 batters per game).

She is playing travel ball right now for Steve and they won a tournament last weekend down in Cullman, AL.

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
