I'm just curious but what are people saying about the spartans this year?

Webb returns all but 3 seniors and only one of those seniors started. They return their best pitcher Justin Alexander, good strong high school pitcher, and led the team in home runs last year. Parker wormsley, Cole Massey, Kj Parent, Jason Berube, Clark Johnson, Hayden Hall, and Tre Waters all either started last year or had considerable playing time. Look for Drew Packard to do well too, he has signed with Villanova. It should be an interesting year for Webb

Webb should get a good idea of how good they are March 9th when they play Harriman! Harriman is a great school and it should be a good game.

i think webb will be better this year, but still not near the level the webb teams were 4 and 5 years ago

Yeah, Anders is a great player. He was gonna be on my summer team. Hope he gets well.

 

Those Webb teams in 2003-2006 were really good, but this team has quite a bit of promise. With only two seniors this year and plenty of returning underclassmen, they are set up for next year as well, especially considering that they will move down to DII A from AA next season.

I played for Webb a few years ago (class of 04). Nice to hear they should do well this year. What schools are in the East region now? When I played it was Webb, Catholic, Notre Dame, Baylor and McCallie but I've heard ND and KCHS both left DII.

Baylor, Mccallie, and webb... thats it now. we play 2 games against baylor and mccallie
