Congrats to all the St. Benedict Eagles for making to the state tournament. They played an outstanding 4th quarter to secure a victory against a very talented Brentwood Academy squad.

 

Symone Daniels, Brittney Taylor, and Megan Van Eaton were spectacular and very key in the victory. Daniels and Taylor brought it home late ??“ but Megan made some crucial baskets early in the second half to keep SBA in striking distance. However, the supporting cast with #55 defending BA??™s post player was vital and Magnifico made some crucial free throws down the stretch. In addition Pratt really handled the ball well and provided some solid perimeter defense. I also like #45 for SBA who posted strong during the first quarter and made two impressive low posts moves. Ariel and Rasie provided good perimeter D and some solid ball handling as well.

 

Bassically: great team effort. Sorry to see Jennifer L. out with the ankle injury.

Has she been battling injuries? Why would she need a rest when she has not played a game in six days prior to the sub-state game?
