dude, what happend against south pitt!!?? a little close for comfort eh?

South Pitt played extremely well. Townsend, Cousin, and Johnson sat out the majority of the first half with foul trouble. The Pirates were hitting everything they threw up last night. You have to remember they were at their gym, and their whole focus this year has been to win that game. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pirates lose to Silverdale or get blown out by Grace. It seems they only get "up" for a few games a year(Marion and the disrtict finals). With that being said, CSAS did what they had to do and they are moving on.

When they decide to play, they are good. They are much bigger and physical than CSAS. They generally cannot shoot the ball. However, last night they could not miss. They have 5 players. 2 very good guards, one is 6'4 and the other can shoot, they also have a good big man. They rebound extremely well. In their biggest win of the year against Marion they hit 10 3's. At their gym they are much better.

Old Pirate says you city fellers...... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> the facts are simple and the game was tied until CSAS hit a bucket with 56 seconds remaining and then SP couldn't connect on the the front end of 1&1. SP hit everything they threw up...... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> you city fellers........must be some lawyers in this bunch or else have had a few skillets put against that gord. SP played well and 'IF' they had hit every freethrow the second half would have won easily. OP suggests you city fellers git them eyes checked before long or hide the skillets. Fact is the Select City recruited scholars won and the ear holing football players lost. OP thinks 1 starter returning from last years starters. think he was that #30 that hit everything he shot the second half. You fellers sure know how to recruit a pompom squad. OP says them CSAS coaches are either a miricle workers or else a great recruiters and with the middle school program not good, wonder which is it? Dad burnit, OP says you city fellers need to play a little football and make these seasonal matchups fair year round. Then you wouldn't have to make all them there middle school youngons try out for the pompom squad. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Congrats to SP for working hard at your game and stepping up, your work does not go un-noticed. Saw my ole freind Sam Brooks there last night looking fit for an old former pirate coach. Pretty sure he don't have a skillet slinger.

Fact are CSAS won again. I won't even respond to the idea that they recruit. It just sounds like sour grapes on OP's part. Congrat's again to S. Pitt. players and coaches on the moral victory. I really thought it would be another blowout but they made it a game and made the drive up their worth it. I can see how the kids up there have won soo many football championships. They have a lot of heart. - CSAS - Stay focused and Good Luck. You're only a couple of steps from the state tournament.

/roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Now city feller don't git a bur in that jock. Old Pirate's referrence on that is clearly visuable to all. No sour grapes but cuz Leroy's son's school in Chatt is rather upset bout the current trend of cherry picking goin round. OP is a ear holer type feller. The "idea"...... now....,now..... come on city feller, us folks know all them there basketball players don't all of a sudden just walk into CSAS without being approached. Since you are obviously more familar than this OP. Let us all know how long these current players have been there? NOT LONG.....would be OP's quess. Not sure how many were there last year? Are they scholars as some folks have posted and just curious the % of athletes compared to pompom squad members? Break room chatter is abundant with plenty of city fellers chatting.

OP says again...................................DON'T WET ON OP AND TELL HIM IT'S ONLY RAIN! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    • Hmmmmmm doe dee doe doe……sounds like they are leaving Geenback faster than the lawnmower will go in fifth gear.  Hmmmm….. you can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • West looked solid...excited to see this young group excel
    • When you have a school that right at 200 kids only half are going to be male and to get 25% of them to come out for football is a very hard task. Take away an 8th grade syatem and your you have another hill to climb up. If 5 kids are actually leaving your not going to have enough for practice. Your only chances for wins would be against the weakest of weak teams. At one time Greenback had kids coming across the wall like the Mexican Border and now their leaving town before sundown. A hugh mistake was made on not hiring Ryan back because of his ties to the community and his ability to bring in the right kids, not run them off. The last coach failed because he wasn't one of community so they go out and do it again. I'm sure Coach Clemmer is a good person because I do know people that do like him but he is caught in the middle of a fan base that will not support him no matter what and it could lead to a disaster if that many kids are leaving the program. The person that caused all of this mess has no business on the school board and needs to stick with hiding in the bushes giving out speeding tickets to out of towners coming through.
    • My outsider looking in perspective is Oliver Springs, Coalfield, Rockwood, and Harriman: fill out the top 4 good teams that beat up on the bottom and will all be in a good place to win in the 1st round with one team maybe making it farther. Midway: funnily enough in the middle an alright team that can beat the teams below them but not the top 4 misses the playoffs but still has a decent record. Oakdale, Greenback, Sunbright: round out the bottom each team has its problems and with a rough region and challenging non-conference records may not be pretty. Oakdale graduated lots of talent and experience, Greenback is in all sorts of internal turmoil with their new coach, and Sunbright small roster tough region not tons of Fb played. (Teams could be rearranged with other teams in their groups but this is how I see them finishing)
    • Kids quitting to focus on one sport could be a worry but multi-sport athletes transferring out would damage more than just football so I think the people who made this decision could find out they are going to get burned in multiple ways.
