Didn't the last time DC played BTW in Memphis...didn't they schedule the game EARLY at like 3 or 4 pm..You know GET IN AND GET OUT in a hurry....Like I told some of the STUDENTS..."You don't want to go to BTW or any of those INNER-CITY schools and start MOUTHING at the OPPOSING CROWD...It's okay to cheer for your team...But this HEY YOU..SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP....Won't fly down in the "hood"....Memphis inner city schools are a WHOLE DIFFERENT ANIMAL...Just the way it is....McCord might want to take some advice I saw from Coach Glen Tackett one night at Fayette Ware....With 3 minutes left to go ....We were WINNING and the bus was Backed up to the door...RUNNING...The managers had EVERYTHING ON THE BUS...Including the players clothes....If we had won...It was RIGHT OUT THE DOOR AND GET ON THE BUS!....We ended up losing by one or two points...We still didn't stick around to CHEW THE FAT.....

You DC kids...IF YOU GO....Cheer for your team...But after the game is over...SCRAM...Because if a situation occurs like I saw occur tonight....IT WON"T BE KNUCKLE CITY....Some gang banger in the stands is likely to go to his car and come back with a 9mm and SPRAY THE PLACE...Haven't heard of anybody getting shot or killed at a basketball game in years....But I wouldn't press my luck...Like the above poster said...IF you win...LEAVE...If you lose ...LEAVE....There is a big difference in being a COWARD and being a SMART MAN... Just my 2 cents worth...

Free throws killed dc in this game. They definetly need to work on them before monday. Senior leadership for covington really helped them. I really am glad that ced didnt get loose from coach beck because it wouldn't of been pretty. Even though bad sportmanship was shown alot tonight i'll still say goodluck covington...DC its time to go to work get them free throws down and work on your interior defense and everything will be alright. Goodluck choctaws stay focused and bring that goldball back to dyer county.

Yes ! Have noticed that all year lond and made several comments about it. Thanks for bringing that up.

I agree that Fred showed alot of class tonight. As for Ced, he`s a really good kid that was pushed to far. For his sake, I`m glad Beck and the 3 cops held him back after being taunted. Would have been uuuugly!! Impossible to have respect for a player that starts that crap !

CJ, John Hudson, and Ced made the team. Well deserved. A nail biter indeed as I predicted. Some Covington fans were out of control and had to be escorted out of the gym. Also, Walker for Covington is a class act. After being fouled by Rex, he approached Rex to shake his hand and Rex blew him off. I never thought I would have seen that coming. At the end of the game, I leaned over the rail to see what would happen when Rex met up with Walker. It never got there. Rex was around CJ when they shook hands with one of the Covington players. Not sure if something was said but Rex and CJ went off. That was the start of the cops separating everyong. Coach Real was sure yelling at Coach McChord at the end of the game. He was furious at the way CJ and Rex handled the situation and wanted to let him know. McChord wasn't listening to him though because it was so loud in there. As far as the refs in this game, not too bad. A few bad calls against both teams. Nothing that changed the game or outcome which is good. Another game that was worth the price of admission.

The player that Rex fouled had been mouthing at Rex all night and pulling his jersey....Right before the foul happened Rex ask the ref to please keep an eye out he was pulling and holding.... when the whistle blew to start the game the Covington player was all in Rex's face mouthing and pulling Rex's jersey, Ref did nothing about it so Rex took it in his own hands......next thing we knew Rex fouled him and got the T. Not saying it was right or wrong. Sometimes tempers flare and thats what happened. Everybody saw what Rex did but not all saw what that Covington player was doing to provoke. There is always more to the story. He was mouthing at CJ too. They were right in front of us so I know it happened alot. The Covington player was mouthing at some of the fans down from us not sure what he said though.

So with that said I am sure when they were going through the line and saying good game that the Covington players said something to them and that was the last straw. I can't see Rex and CJ doing anything unless they were provoked they always show good sportsmanship. Someone hit big Ced and he was going after whoever did it....coach Beck grabed him and he is really big so the two police officers had to help. I really hate it when stuff like this happens it just looks bad on everyone. Our boys usually handle it better.

So anyway GREAT GAME...wish we could of pulled it off....Congrats to Covington. and Let's go CHOCOTAWS!!!! Were not out yet.....let's get it done!!!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

WOW..........REALLY? Why does it have to be that way? If it is unsafe, these kids should not be subjected to that and should be played elsewhere!

Memphis is one of the most dangerous places in the US. It is no place to be day or night! Thats why teams try so hard to win to stay out of Memphis! I"m not trying to scare u just facts. Anybody that has ever played in Memphis will tell u the same thing!!

OH.........obviously not. Had no idea, thanks for clearing that up. I thought maybe he'd said something and was just making peace. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Many ppl there tonight could take a lesson!

To make one point. While the thugs from Covington were being typical of themselves on and off the court, 90% of their fans were applauding DC when they accepted the 2nd place trophy in a very well mannered way. Pointed it out to a couple of friends. Pretty classy. Ashamed the others had to make a scene. The Charegers outplayed our guys tonight plain and simple. I would wish them good luck because they are representing our region, but after the poor sportsmanship shown on the floor after the game, can`t say it matters. GO DC !!!!

for as all of the extra stuff that happend during the game and after it was a war out there on the floor so i would be looking for some words or something to be said on the floor during the game but after cj didnt show much class he is wat got everything started but for you saying covington players are thugs one of your players come from covington and some of your other playersmust like hangging out with thugs because ive seen some of dc players in covington hangging out with what you call thugs i guess you cant say they are not thugs i guess since cov is!

the game was very good and hard fought out both teams played well and all of the fans were going crazy for there teams it was great ! i tip my hat off to dc they played hard ! good luck to dc on monday ! and yea if you think cov has thugs just wait untill monday!

Yea, i hear ya. In reference to thugs on the floor I was talking mainly about fans that had no business being there. Sure there was alot of mouthing on the floor during the game but that goes both ways. It was a hard fought and good game but I was somewhat surprised when I saw the Covington players at the DC bench along with some fans. It is what it is. As for DC players hanging out in Covington. I have no Idea, but I`m not saying that being in or from Covington makes anyone a thug. I stated earlier that most Charger fans were very respectful, but as for what happened after the game, like I said, it is what it is.

I know it`s a diff coach, but the same school and team. Who was it that got all crazy and got in CJ`s face last year at Haywood Co. after suffering a loss to DC. Coach was fired and players were PO`d. Stands the reason this would happen huh?

hello khvol, you know i had to come out of my dog house on this statement! are you sure that when the event ocurred last year that i got in CJ face? are u absolutely sure that i got fired? before you speak you might want to do your homework, but i want to send congrats to coach mccord and coach reel for puttting two great teams on the floor last night! good luck on monday to dyer co. and my covington chargers1 /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

sorry khvol that i keep repling to you, but some of the things you are saying have no truth to them! those kids are not thugs at all, i know im bais to them but they are great kids! if standing up for yourself makes you a thug then everybody must be a thug in your eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
