I was a neutral fan in this and did not care who won, but the officiating was not very good toward Clarkrange....and for the comment about the Clarkrange student section trying to pick a fight is a little one-sided....The Grace student section showed no class whatsoever in this game (giving the "s**k it" sign directly to Clarkrange fans on hit free throws, singing "hey hey goodbye" at the end) That just makes your school look bad any way you look at it... There is a line between cheering for your team and disrespect.... Anyway off the soap box...Grace is a pretty impressive team and have a lot of weapons..They definitely have a chance to win it all from what i seen... Good luck

you sir do not seem neutral to me. the refs did a fine job until the end when the clarkrange boys started playing football with our boys. you also conveniently forgot about the clarkrange fans flipping us off numerous times...way to go /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> and as for the singing, there is nothing wrong with that my friend, its all part of the game. GO EAGLES!!!

you forgot to mention all the clarkrange fans fliping our student section off becouse they cant match our volume! and there fans behind our guys bench making comments to our coaching staff and making fools of themselves! they fouled our boys every time they touched the ball, and there fans would cheer for them when they got technical fouls. we came to watch a basketball game not watch clarkrange run around and foul the time off the clock down 30! i admit our student section can be loud and unruley at times but it wouldnt be effective if it wasnt. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> thats all part of the game my friend! as for the fouls by clarkrange it was realy dumb and anoying but i was proud to see the reffs call it even for both sides. good job to the reffs this game for letting the boys play ball! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Are you sure you are talking about the same game we are? I don't see how anyone who attended the Grace/Clarkrange game could come out saying what you just said! I mean really.....First of all, I have to give our players a big round of applause for the way they handled themselves after being pushed, horse collared and flipped every which way. They held their composure and played the game at hand. Not to mention all that they had to hear behind them when they were on the bench.....talk about no class! As far as our student section, they are loud and proud of their team and they show it. Our team appreciates every cheer!!!! So if you want to get on your soap box again....at least tell the truth!!!! Oh yeah, I hope you had a safe trip home, neutral fan!

You see mam, the Grace student section can sometimes be loud and unruly. Many people look at this as just a bunch of students trying to be disrespectful when it is really a bunch of students trying to get in their opponent's head. And might I say from what I have heard and seen in the past the Grace student section did just that the other night.

And yes I will try my hardest to be at the next game. Do yall know when and who they play yet.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
