There is an sophmore guard at Hillsboro by the name of Robert Hudson who has improved tremendously over the summer, He will definitely be known by his junior or senior year depending on how much time he'll be getting this year. He's 5'6 and has great ball control, can pass, and he has a nice shot. He will be playing AAU next summer, him and his friends are trying to start they're own squad.

Brent McPherson is not known now but by the end of the year i hope everyone sees how good he is. he can handle and pass and can shoot from deep, mayb his only flaw is D but w/ Roller on him he will get better

I agree, Brent is a heck of a player, and one of the better Jr Guards in the Midstate. Brent has great range, great vision, good handles, and a great attitude. Watch for Brent to have a big year this year at PG for David Lipscomb.....

I agree with you on Brent. I thought he should have gotten more playing time last year. Brent could have started for a lot of teams. He is fundamentally sound and you can tell he works hard. He does not get much PR because of his lack of playing time last year for Lipscomb. I think we will see that change this upcoming season. Lipscomb will be a contender in 8-AA......once again.

I realize this is not Mid state but Milan has a good PG in Kyle Shannon who was injured most of the year last year. He will be an impact player this year along with Southsides' Hilliard Baker.

Brent is a decent player, but his lack of size hurts him against a big guard who can match his quickness..If you're looking for a potential sleeper guard try Joe Thompson over at Father Ryan. Because Ryan rotated so many guards in the lineup last season, it was hard for him to stick out. Still, he improved throughout the year and mananged to earn a spot on the All Region Tourney Team. This year with fewer guards on the team, look for Joe to carry more of the load. Gomab, i know you got my back on this one.

Joe is a great player, that I think could play Mid Major D-1 ball. Joe is one of the better guards in the Midstate, and one of the best shooters in the entire State. He will have a break out year, and I hope he gets the D-1 interest I feel he deserves......
