yea lol we got beat twice that year on the last to games of the season in georgia lol.. but it is tru we were tought great sportsmanship and dissaplin (sp). but win we came in second in that tourney we took the trophy even tho me and i no the rest of my temmates didn't want it. i didn't want it because it reminded me of us and me failing as a leader and player... i no it is a game of failure and i learned to deal with it.

they prolly should have took the trophy home and delt with it in private. but i still think this is a non issue.. who knows maybe they just forgot it and didn't mean anything by it..

i still agree that Pharr is the most respected and most classy coach you will find in these parts.. great guy and GREAT coach.. still have the best respect for the coach of the farragut admirals and the players..

good luck guys

I hope your career in baseball was a long one...for you can't spell and I pray that you're not teaching school somewhere...

English must be an elective at Farragut

My opinion.

1st.. You accept the trophy

2nd.. If you don't want it or need motivational tool, have a burning at your park. No one knows and there is no controversy.

3rd..If coach Pharr is as classy as they say(and I have no reason to doubt) he has to understand that his ball club is representing a school as well as a community. If I was the principle of Farragut we would be having a talk.

Take trophy home and in 6 months nobody remembers. Pull a stunt like Farragut did and it will haunt them for many many yrs. You just dropped your pants in the middle of the diamond and left yourselves open to all kinds of ridicule.

OH NO! you are much to passionate on this subject to live 2 hr. away. I'm guessing a student at Farragut.

I'm just pointing out that when you "Crow from the Top" and you fall, others will let you know. Farragut will regroup and have a great season. But because of some arrogant postings, many are watching for every stumble.

no i graduated last year from a school about 2 hours away.. but yes i think it is just a misunderstanding.. and the only reason this gets under my skin is because i hate to see people bash a program that is the top in the state if not the nation.. but i do understand how you may think that..

wat do you think Farragut's record will be this season... wat teams will give them problems???

Not knowing their complete schedule, I can only guess. But with all their talent, 2-3 losses before state rolls around is not out of the question. Remember they play a very tough schedule. I would predict another state championship when it's all over. The key,as for all is avoiding the major injuries.

I'm looking forward to watching them this weekend in Murfreesboro.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
