Its pretty bad a coach takes time to set up his gym get a hospitality room ready and pay for an event to be sanctioned and have no show.

The tournament saturday at Chattanooga Central was canceled that day. only had one kid for Soddy, about 10 fro Chatt. Central and 5 from Alabama.

So no one in this state needs to ever complain again about there not being tournaments or days for competition especically without having to drive far.

I think the state should reimburse his sanction fee at least since the state did not support his effort to get mat time for TENNESSEE wrestlers. Besides what better way to get you Best of Best duals team in line the weekend before the actual dual tournament.

I agree with you, but, with it being out of season, we as coaches can only encourage our kids to go to these tournaments/camps. I tried to set-up an "open mat" schedule for this summer and I got about 3 wrestlers that are interested! Sun, water, drivers license, girls, work, girls.........you get the picture. But, come January they'll be crying because they are getting thumped!

was there any type of pre-registration for this tournament? i was considering bringing 3-4 guys down from nashville for the one june 13, but not if there are only 15 people there.

I believe he has cancelled his other tournament the one on the 13. Gonna tie that into the end of his camp now, since the first one was a flop.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
