If this is true, it is ashame for both Miranda and Heritage. In my opinion, she is the piece of the puzzle to get Heritage to states. Heritage has failed to make it the last 5 years after being one of the best teams in district play during the regular seasons. Heritage has always had good guards but the post play was less than required to get to the big dance. She will absolutely help Maryville but I do not think she will help get them to states. But if she is unhappy at Heritage.....go. Where is Tara Shields going to play high school ball.

Saw Tara playing with Alcoa Middle School at the Maryville College Camp, looks like she gonna be a Lady Tornado

Govman...... looks like everyone is going to be political correct with this one huh???? wow

Afire,

All I've heard has been unofficial speculation but from pretty reliable sources. If indeed this is true, it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out, won't it?

ETBball11, if Maples is at Maryville, I believe it makes a pretty big shift in the balance of power in the district. It will make things a lot tougher on Lauren Burnette (who I think is probably the best outside shooter in the district) because teams will be able to focus on her defensively a lot more. Rick still has some quality players at Heritage but none that I believe would have demanded as much attention as Maples from an opposing defense.

For Maryville, Coach Bledsoe will have a heck of a high/low combo (which she loves to run) with Maples and Vaught. Add Whaley (another quality post player) in that mix too. Maryville should dominate the boards. Goodson, Singleton, and Breazeale will add strong guard play. Goodson had an excellent summer, she has worked really hard on her game. If the Lady Rebs can develop a consistent outside threat so that teams can't pack their defense in the paint, they will be one of the favorites in the district I believe.

Govman....call Bledsoe or Howard, get the facts from the source /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I agree with the Maryville team with a quick fix by adding Maples. However, I think Howard will find a way to win ! He has the ability to push his girls into playing hard. Rebels never seem to sell out with effort nor do they have a deep bench. just my opinion......

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
