Hey....I can relate to that. Nothing like setting around whittling a nice point on a good piece of cedar with a good Case xx knife, waiting for some unassuming squirrel to come by. Then jab him in that bushy tail.

And I can believe that Josh has been corrupted. Seems to be the type that is drawn to shiney gold oblong objects.

Is this tread about the top ten or just a place for two people to jaw back and forth? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Apparently, with your added knowledge and insight it can't be about anything other than the top ten.

That's right , no jawing from you.......right to the point.

Although ....(according to the threat title) it's The only 3A coaches Poll .

The coaches across the state in Class 3A have voted and the results are in on their top ten, which is actually 11. These teams are ranked by total number of votes. Read all about these teams in Murphy Fair's Tennessee High School Football magzine, schedule for release in mid-July.

1 Alcoa

2 Milan

3 Goodpasture

4 Austin East

5 CPA

6 Westview

7 Lewis Co.

8 Tyner

9 Camden

10(tie) CAK

10(tie) Smith Co.

All that other stuff aside..............Looks like a good starting point to me. I don't think there is much question about the top 3 TODAY......September.......we'll see. Some will rise, some will fall, but you have to start somewhere.

OK, just an observation: If Murphy's top 5 is in alphabetical order, why is Tyner ahead of Milan?

As far as Kingston is concerned, if they are not a top 10 team then CAK isn't either. Maybe I'll feel differently after week 8, but right now I expect that to be a VERY tough game for my team, played at Kingston. Yikes!

I tend to go more with the coaches poll than Murphy Fair's polls. I'm not saying he doesn't know what is talking about but the coaches see the teams first hand. I think u know more about teams if u have seen them play other than reading about them and then ranking them. Don't know much about Tyner but Milan will be loaded with a couple of D-1 kids on the team. The road will tough for Milan this year and will be hard pressed to go 10-0. But everone is predicting another Alcoa vs. Milan rematch. But Alcoa is still the Champs untill they are knocked off the mountain. Good Luck to everone this up coming season can't hardly wait football is in the air. GO VOLS!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
