Solomon
St. Louis in Cincy and Milwaukee visiting the North Side, all 4 separated by 2.5 games. Thoughts on how this division is playing out?
rSquared
the division is there for the taking. someone is going to go on a roll and peel off about a 9 or 10 game streak and put themselves in the proverbial drivers seat. but it may not happen until after the all-star break! Go Reds!!!

Solomon
I would have loved to see the Cards take one more in Chicago, but guess I can't complain since they are in 1st at the break.

Solomon
/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> It's actually quite interesting and nerve-wrecking times in St. Louis. Pretty much we're on the countdown to Pujols contract expires in 2011 and sadly enough, things are already happening that will affect whether he resigns. First up, LaRussa's contract is up this year and Tony and Albert have basically become the same person on the baseball field they are so close. If the Cards are not committed to playing for World Series titles, many think TLR will walk this year. And if THAT happens then everyone is terrified that it's a foregone conclusion that Pujols will sign elsewhere in 2011. That's why landing ReRosa was such a sigh of relief. It showed ownership wanted to win. I would NOT be shocked if the Cardinals made a serious run at Halliday this year. Then again, if Pujols does leave.......God help Cardinal ownership.
