Hillsboro at Maplewood

This is always a very physical game matching two of Metro's most successful programs of late. Evidently no Boski this year, so I will start the thread. Maplewood has the State's Top O-Lineman and Hillsboro is the defending State Champs.

Hillsboro will be tougher as the year goes on. Early in the season, they're vulnerable to losing some games.

UNLESS the Burros offense has completely lost their way in the wake of Blade's and Myers' departures, HHS should win every game against MNPS opponents in 2009. Maplewood, Whites Creek, and Cane Ridge are all very winnable if the Burros play disciplined. Go Burros!

I agree. It is almost here.. We will find out what we have soon!

Offensive and defensive line play will be the difference in this one. Maplewood is huge (James Stone, 6'4", 300 lbs.), Looking forward to watching both teams play.

Good luck to all the players who have worked so hard since last Jan. in conditioning and practices. It will be interesting to see how the new defensive scheme works against Maplewood. Both offensive and defensive lines struggled against Overton. Hope things have jelled since last week.

Is the HHS defense that pathetic for HHS to be able to score 20 points on offense and still lose to Maplewood? I sure hope not...it will be a LONG season if that's the case.

Offense and defense looked good against Peral-Cohn, both got slammed against Ensworth, and the Overton Jamboree game was not impressive at all on either side of the ball with the exception of the last drive and field goal.
