I'm not making any predictions here, but I am not blind either to the things that I've seen. This is just a game that got to be played, and I don't know if earlier in the season is good or bad for either team. It only means less experience for the new starters to gell with the team for both sides, but WH clearly has the advantage with Greenwade, Dixon, and homefield.

As for the Portland game, I think the Cats went in looking at the 0-3 and were overlooking the Panthers. The Panthers wanted it badly, and even at 14 up (both by Crabtree), the Cats scored twice in less than five minutes and then went on to win the game in the last minute, much like with Springfield.

The Bobcats know what they're facing with another year at WH. Admittedly, this will be a tough game and with losing to SC last week, WH will be taking it out on the Cats, and assuming no one was late for practice this week, I expect to see Greenwade and Light trying to redeem themselves with Porter in a big way.

Regardless, hopefully this will remain a game of sportsmanship with no injuries. There is a lot of season left.

Good luck to both sides....Go Cats~!

Good evening (or morning):

White House site is updated at www.whitehousefootball.com

Includes recap, stats, photos and quotes/notes from Station Camp and all three games. Preview for Greenbrier coming Wednesday. Also included: bio updates for college athletes from White House and a video on Cory and Cody Sullins (new). District 9-AA standings and season stats updated along with four new photo galleries including Homecoming and bands from the special presentation Friday night.

By the way, kudos to Station Camp and White House for the Sept. 11th tribute.

Photos from this weekend are awesome.

Will have freshman game uploaded tomorrow too but I'm tired and going to bed.

Sorry for the late update, out of town this weekend again after the football game was over.

Thanks and Go Blue Devils,

    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
