Cannon is coming off an outstanding win, and MTCS should be a very winnable game for Cannon Co., but Cannon Co. can not overlook them. They are very well-coached and have some very talented skill players that the defense must contain. I do not think that MTCS has a good enough defense to control the spread for 4 quarters. All that being said Cannon should play now with confidence and a little swagger after knocking off the #8 ranked team in the state, and expect to beat a 1A team such as MTCS. I think that if Cannon Co. can develop the mindset to beat teams in the first half they could become a dangerous team. Just for fun i say an early prediction Cannon Co. 27-12 over MTCS

Cannon should win this one. But they need to play better in the first half. If not they could very easily lose to a team they should beat. Im taking the lions in this one.

I would like to see Cannon Co. play with some swagger and play like the team that just beat the 8th ranked team in the state. I think the Lions should go in there and make a statement and start from the opening drive. MTCS has not had to defend a spread all season, and they probably have not palyed a defense that will hit as hard as Cannon Co. will. This a great chance for CCHS to to play a complete game and show everyone that they are not just a 2nd half team

Not true. Friendship and Watertown both used the spread. In fact, Watertown's offense is very similar to Cannon County's (Tony Franklin offense). MTCS ended up on the short end of the scoreboard in both of those contests. That being said it may still be a chance for CC to show their stuff. Great challenge and opportunity for MTCS tonight. Hope the weather doesn't get nasty.
