whatever happened to dante hickey and tony styles? Hickey may have been the best player i have saw live other than eric wesmoreland? As far as pure runner though i dont know that anyone could tuch hickey? Wasnt styles at UT or a prep school?

The last I ever heard of Dante Hickey, he was causing a near riot at a Bradley-Cleveland basketball game, 2 or 3 years out of high school. As for Henderson, the first time I saw him was at Baylor camp when he was a sophomore (pretty sure on that) and he whipped everybody that lined up against him. I'd say he'd be a defensive end in college and the pros as he was around 240 already in high school..I could just see him chasing down quarterbacks on Sundays. Too bad.

Moses Osemweigie from MBA in the late 90's (starting for Vanderbilt now), Keppy Baucoum from McCallie in the late 90's and 00's (starting for Gardner Webb as a freshman), and you have to put Eddie Moore and Eric Westmoreland on this list too. I never saw them play in high school, but they're lb's, they played high school ball in TN, they played it in the 90's, and they're both very talented.

Moses is a very good linebacker. They are calling him "little Winborn" at Vandy. Anybody ever heard of Al Wilson or Austin Kemp? What about Will Barthalomew, twice defensive player of the year. Lincoln County always has some good linebackers. Somebody throw out some players from west tennessee

After having played against him, Al Wilson from Jackson Central Merry would stand out as one of the best. We scrimmaged them in '93 or '94. He had the quickest first step i've ever seen. He was in our backfield before we could get the ball to our RB's, and that wasn't even on blitzes. He made his reads and got to the ball, almost instinctively. This was just about the time he was debating which college to attend, and a news helicopter from Memphis landed right beside the field and interviewed him. he chose the right school and was a BIG reason the Vols won the National Championship in 98. Now starting for the Denver Broncos at Middle Linebacker.

He was also a heck of a tailback.

Yeah, Moses always caused trouble for McCallie. I got to see him play Auburn last weekend, and he's still a badass player. He crushed Daniel Cobb a couple of times and was all over the field. I think he blocked a field goal too.

I started for Overton the year we beat Tullahoma for the Region Championship, 1998. Northcutt was a bunch of hype. We blocked him all night, I think he had one tackle. I havent seen him play at Ole Miss yet, and he is getting on up there in years.

You hit the nail right on the head. Known as that rare kid who made hits with his eyes open, Tito Lee was a force on the feild. Strong, fast, and explosive, he could really lay the hammer down. He was an outstanding wrestler, and used those skills to toss blockers aside on his way to the ball.

Also some of the best I've ever played against...

Jamil Northcut- Tullahoma 95-98 (Ole Miss)

Donnie Lowe- Lavergne 96-99 (Alabama)

Maybe not the best of the 90's, but good backer's none the less were Jon Batey of Riverdale, Class of '02 I believe, and John Bates of Centennial, class of '00. Bates had 120 stops his senior year, and was the target of every coach we played. Every opposing coach we played against, their first comments were in praise of #44.

    • lol, not me. I did ask about that because I was watching the siegel vs Farragut game. It was backwards there as well. I believe for the camera to get it right it has to be put in by the NFHS team correctly or it will be backwards.

    • Mancoverage, the analogy to the esteemed John Ward is a commendable gesture, underscored by its profound implications. It is indeed an honor to be likened to such a luminary figure. Moreover, the assertion that the prospective head coach resides within the confines of the aforementioned list resonates with perspicacity and foresight. GOAT, it is imperative to acknowledge the potential impact of disparaging remarks upon the esteemed individuals cataloged within the aforementioned list, meticulously curated by Clint and myself.

    • Color me shocked that Keith is playing the victim in all of this. You would think a 27 year old “military man” would own up to his mistakes. All those singing his praises on multiple media outlets and social media might need to do some due diligence and talk to those that have had some real bad interactions with DK.    at the end of the day what stinks is that some innocent people are going to be caught up in the mess that the Head principal, Keith and a few rogue teachers created. The head principal was warned multiple times about Keith and chose to hitch his wagon to him and the monster that was created couldn’t be controlled. But as we have now seen, Jenkins was doing his own stuff below board to make himself look better. And what stinks even worse is there might be more people that lose their job that were the ones doing everything in their power to warn Jenkins.
