What are your thoughts on the season so far? Has this team underachieved and if so, why? I know they have a ton of talent and great kids. I want them to do well, and Im curious on everyone's thoughts as to why it has been a struggle to this point.

Tougher district, they don't have the horses to compete in the district they were placed in. Unfortunately the T$$AA is only concerned about how they can make more money instead of teams being competitive, its a shame that a one time power will never be the same again. :roflol:

Tougher District? Yes. Don't have the horses? Seymour loses to Jeff Co by 4 points and to Sevier County by 1. They also lost to a good Daniel Boone team that is 4-1 right now. I do not agree with that statement. Seymour has been close and yes adding more depth will help but the Eagles have the horses and the horses are improving everyday. Good Luck Eagles!

They are close. Much better than they were earlier in the season. Coaches have done a very good job - team is much improved.

Probably do not have the horses to compete for championships, but they are certainly not an easy win for anybody. Not a team that can make a run in November I don't think, but not a bad team by any stretch.

Very good defensively - gives them a chance most nights.

I do think Seymour has the horses. I also think that two games have been lost by reasons partially outside the players control. It kills me to see this talented group of boys flounder after they have worked so hard in the weight room during the offseason. These boys have been dedicated. It also has helped that we had a great player "move" from Carter.

I don't know anything about the Jeff Co game, but the yall were lucky to be in the Sevier Co game. The Bears had 3 TDs called back and another potential scoring trip foiled by stupid penalties, that game could have, and SHOULD have been UGLY! I like Coach Moore and I think he's done a good job everywhere he's been, but the Eagles will not compete for a district title any time soon, JMHO, take it for what you will, but good luck to the Eagles, always got along with most of the good people from there. :popcorneater:

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
