BoardHater71
As funny as it sounds Montgomery Central still has a great shot to make the playoffs in 2 different ways. If they win their final 4 games & can get Creek Wood to lose another game in the district to a team like Camden then the Indians would get the automatic bid into the Class 4A playoffs. If the Indians beat Stewart County, Waverly, & Harpeth then they could get to 5-5 overall and be in the hunt of grab one of those "wild card" spots that will be highly contested on the final night of the regular season. Either way this is a game that the Indians can't afford to lose if they want to make a push to the playoffs. Stewart County is still 4-2 overall and they have games with 3A foes Waverly & Harpeth remaining on their schedule in 2 of their final 3 games. If Stewart County can take care of business in those games then they'll be a playoff team. The game against Parsons Riverside could also be a game to get the Rebels to "7 or 8 wins" on the season. That would certainly assure them of a playoff berth as either an automatic bid or even as a "wild card". The Rebels have done a nice job of taking care of business in their non-district schedule. WhateverItTakes07
Does anyone know the qb situation at central since the started went down with an injury in the 4th quarter against Camden? I had heard that their original starting qb was back from his stay in columbia. Just curious as to what the update is. Thanks

So, Montgomery Central will get an automatic bid if they beat Creek Wood. If they lose 3 out of the last 4 games, beat Creek Wood, and finish 3-7... they are in the playoffs. BoardHater71
No that is wrong info ColumbiaBlueNScarlet.......... The District counts on you record regardless of what class you play in during the regular season. 3A teams & 4A teams are pointless during the regular season. It's just known as 11-AA during that time and all games count for you and against you. If Montgomery Central beats Creek Wood and loses to everyone else then they go 1-5 in the district. That places them behind Creek Wood in the final standings and they would miss the playoffs. 3A teams & 4A teams have to compete to beat one another during the regular season because their games against one another do count toward the district. squatlow
Montgomery Central will win a squeaker in this one. They have size in the front line and will dominate the Rebels, weather will be a factor but i believe that ole Monty will take this one................ No, your information is wrong, and my information is right howdoitknow... The following is from the TSSAA Handbook (http://www.tssaa.org/Handbook/football.pdf) Section III D Automatic qualifiers shall be determined as follows: a. Teams that finish 1st or 2nd in their district. b. Teams that finish in the top half of the teams from their Subdivision (Class 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A) Ex.: 8 teams in a Subdivision = 4 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 7 teams in a Subdivision = 3 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 6 teams in a Subdivision = 3 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 5 teams in a Subdivision = 2 automatic qualifiers from that Subdivision 4 teams in a Subdivision = 2 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 3 teams in a Subdivision = at least 1 automatic qualifier from the Subdivision 2 teams in a Subdivision = at least 1 automatic qualifier from the Subdivision 1 team in a Subdivision = 0 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision Section III D b is what will allow a 1-9 team make the playoffs. Montgomery Central and Creek Wood are two teams that only have to win one regular season game to make the playoffs.
