David Lipscomb has a strong running game led by William Officer and a strong defense led by William Stevens. Pearl-Cohn has a strong running game led by DeAnthony Hall and a strong defense led by Darrell Fitzgerald. This is going to be a "line up and smash you in the mouth" type of football game. I believe that one of these teams is going to have to make a play or two in the passing game in order to win it because on defense both are too big and have way too many athletes in order to let the other just 4-5 yard the other to death the whole way down the field.

I would normally say that this could be a game where David Lipscomb exploits Pearl-Cohn on special teams BUT anyone who has seen Pearl-Cohn play this year knows that they do have a very capable special teams unit (just ask MBA).

I can't pick a winner one way or the other but I do know that this is going to be a game that goes all the way down to the wire & it could decide the District 10-AA Championship (depending on what happens the rest of the way with Maplewood & East Literature)

Yeah back in week 3 i would have said the same thing that this game would have been all Lipscomb. But we have found some kind of spark Pearl is playing good football right now.If we can win out and Maplewood lose one game we can win District 10 AA.Back in August nobody had Pearl even going to the playoffs.Coach Brunetti and staff good job on turning this team around.

The catfish is back with his individual brand of posting. This game is setting up to be another wet game on a luckily good field. The competition in our region has been excelent all year and this game is going to be a matchup of two teams hitting their peak at the right time. Both will bring their A game if everybody gets on the bus. No excuses! I can't believe that coach put that in the paper. What was his excuse last week, RAN OUT OF WHEATIES? Come on, lets play the game!

Well Catfish, I mean Howdoitknow, raises a few interesting points. I believe the Mustangs proved last week at CPA they could make some key throws when necessary. Compared to the last few years when teams focused on Rogers, this team has a number of capable targets at WR, TE or RB. As usual the Mustangs prefer to stay on the ground, but will pass when necessary or to catch the defense off-guard. I believe our defense is starting to come together and the pass defense should challenge the Firebirds should they choose to go to the air.

It should be a great game.
