mctownfballfan
I’m new around here but here's a thought...What if we all would rally behind the staff and players? What if we all would quit making negative comments about the program here, at home, or where ever we may be? What if we all would quit pointing fingers and examine our own motives. What if we all would encourage Coach Madewell and his staff instead of ripping him (them) apart? I’ve been to a couple of practices and RARELY are there more than 20 varsity players dressed out. You cannot compete in 6A H.S. football with the numbers that WC has. This ain't middle school of JFL. I believe boards like this do more harm than good. You want to make a difference try building up and not tearing down. Lets all start this week; its Senior night and a chance to beat a good Rhea Co. squad to finish the year 5-5...Just a thought?? pioneer95
The youth league director has been at odds with the head coach ever since his son played football. Didn't make him a star! LOL
axmensax
after watching the rhea co. game people are saying we cant compete with so few players fact is we cant compete if we had 500 players we always find a way to lose right now warren co should be 7-3and in the playoffs but we are not if the fans and coaches can live with it i can we are so much better than our 4-6 record.BEWARE change could be coming just ask the ex-B-BALL coaches
pioneer95
Axsmenax you have always been a supporter of the coaches in your previous post. I think they will be competitive if the parents would let the coaches coach.
utchuckd
Axsmenax you have always been a supporter of the coaches in your previous post. I think they will be competitive if the parents would let the coaches coach. I've seen axsax get on the coaches plenty. There used to be last period weightlifting but they cancelled it this year and everything has been done after school. Wanting to win isn't the answer, heck, everybody wants to win. You have to have the will to prepare to win. From the top down.

bburch
my son has come home and told me the head coach and def cord resigned today effective today. what do you all think about that. I like the head coach as a person i just think it might be time for a change. Don't know about the rest of the coaches if they resigned or not i think we need to start all over. SmashmouthFB
Alot of people in this town got there wish... good or bad it will mean nothing if these boys dont pull together Get in the weight room and WORK, NOT GOOF OFF WORK! Id love to see someone come in and Install a work ethic like no other and the Team jump right in with them. Who will it be ?... a young guy ? someone thats never Headcoached before ?.. Someone on the Staff already ? any candidates?..Do we pay enough money to get a first class coach? Will they cut even more assistants from the program ,,,(we've lost some ever year and haven't been replaced).. alot of questions I guess they will answered soon enough . Good Luck to Chris and all the Coaching staff In whatever you decide to do from here on Out
southernpride
I hate it for Coach Madewell. He seemed to have things improving. I didn't see the Rhea Co game but I did see a couple of games. Good luck Pioneers.
pioneer95
Well I guess this group of parents have run another coach out of football. The entire staff normally resigns when the head coach does. If the new guy wants to keep any of them, they will have to interview. With all of the coaches gone it doesn't look like there will be any weightlifting or anything after school until a new coach is hired. Could be interesting. Even with a new coach, it will take some talent and some athletic ability to get on the field. Some of you don't need to get your hopes up to high. pioneerfan54
Good luck to coach Madewell and staff. Wish the best for all of them. Good men. hope the new coach (whoever it maybe) is ready to come in, roll up his sleeves, and push these guys and not waiver when he gets pushed back. The entire staff normally resigns when the head coach does. If none of the current coaches stay, who's gonna be on staff? Haven't they used everybody in the system that's a coach? Is there anybody left? Or will they actually go out and hire assistants for the new guy and find positions for them like they wouldn't for Madewell?
