Division II AA-Predictions

Ensworth thumps St Benedict by twenty. Hey Mo-Town, the pain is over. Lets see some stats, you said you would do them throughout state. :bored:

Ensworth won the State Championship last Friday night when they beat GPS. Like I told someone earlier, the win over GPS will be the closest of their 3 state tournament games. GPS was the only team that had a prayer of beating Ensworth. Unfortunately for GPS, they had to play Ensworth at Ensworth. It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see Ensworth win in the final by 20+, although they might get conservative in the 4th quarter with a solid lead in the teens and win by less than 20.

EDIT: And don't let the 71-51 win over St. Benedict fool you...Ensworth was up 21-4 after the first quarter and up by 32 going in to the 4th quarter. St. Ben had 26 pts after 3 quarters before scoring 25 in the 4th.

Stullstupid, cp7

per the tennessean

"St. Benedict suffered a pair of key injuries when Rasie Turner and Julie Eckel left the game in the first quarter.

St. Benedict Coach Don Sebren said his team had a tough time trying to match up with Carpenter, particularly without their usual depth."

An ACL injury and a broken nose was the difference in the ball game. "Said" player for Ensworth threw a questionable (Brittany Griner) blow to the nose of St. Benedict player. Word is, that's not the first time "Said" player has thrown a blow during a game................ Freak ACL injury and the rout was on from there. No pain Stullstupid..........

Well, you did the stats like you said. I not sure why you digressed to name calling, but some folks just can't accept the truth. It did not matter whether they were 100% or not, Ensworth is the best team in Div II AA, hands down. You implied that St Benedict would win the state title and you call me stupid. And Hargis, why don't you go clean out the Seagull locker room. :thumb:

MT, you have done a good job keeping up with stats. Its something no one else purporting to support the schools have done on this site. Your commentary is also interesting and no one likes injuries. If true, its informative. You have readers but responding to someone thinking they are involved with the school is not interesting. A suggestion, there is "ignore" on this site and instead of getting discouraged, put the poster on ignore so you won't have to read it. Keep posting the facts.

Let me see "thinking someone is involved with the school", are you talking about yourself? Get off your high horse, because you have no dog in the hunt whatsoever. I have a suggestion for everyone who get confused in trying to figure out what you are saying on any topic or any board, they should put you on ignore. For the umpteenth time, this site is not Phil Hargis.com, thank God. For someone who claims to not read my posts, it is funny that you seem to comment on almost all of them. :thumb:

So, anyone who was there...is this pretty much how it went down? Was the game ever close in the 2nd half?

Congrats to Ensworth. They needed to win it with this team. They should still be solid next year, but I can't see them being as dominant without Carpenter and Allsmiller.

It was never close, total domination. As to next year, they will re-load quickly. Two state titles in a five year old school. They know how to re-load. :thumb:

Trust me they will be just fine. They have the best returning players next year. Christina Slay(tournament mvp), so. Kyara Byner, so. Justice Swett(Started at point guard all season) Fr. and Paige Parker, Fr. all returning and all very good and getting better. Should win it all again. :thumb:
