Hillsboro @ Columbia - second round playoffs

Recommended Posts

Going to be a tough one, but everyone in Clinton is pulling for you Hillsboro.....Go get em!!!!

So, does that mean Columbia is pulling for Anderson County to win?

Who the @#ll knows? (Ask them.)

I did. One answered and said he was doing what you should be doing which is looking to your round 2 opponent and not assuming you'll get to round 3 just by showing up. Thank you very little.

I look ahead, look back, and sideways, that don't matter. What matters is that the boys are focused, calm, confident, and ready for a rematch........ARE YOU?

Columbia has been playing well all year, just barely pulling out victories, but winning none the less. When I saw Hillsboro play Franklin, they did not look like a team that deserved to even be a part of the playoff picture.

I agree. However, as I'm sure you are aware, the harsh reality is there are some teams that finish the regular season with winning records that quickly prove that they don't deserve to be part of the playoff picture either. It's a messed up playoff system in TSSAA football.

I understand where you are coming from with that. But I just feel that a team without a winning record should not be in the playoffs.

No, I ABSOLUTELY agree with you there. I wish the TSSAA would keep football in 3 classes for public schools through the playoffs like they still do for every other sport. It would keep out all the teams with losing records.
