EAST COACHES

Tim Daniels, Red Bank

Scott Blade, Oak Ridge

Kenny Cobble, Red Bank

Derrick Davis, Polk County

Jeff Harig, Loudon

Thomas McDaniel, Oakland

Scott Meadows, Knoxville Catholic

OK, I'll bite. There's a couple coaches that I'm not sure I understand how they get on this list ahead of others. I only speak for myself, but not that they aren't great coaches, but I'm curious how the Loudon coach gets a nomination and yet no CAK nomination? And the Catholic coach gets a nomination. This year? Really? Shows how much I know. I won't quit my day job.

Daniels is the head coach and Cobble is his Def. Cor. They both coached at Loudon before going to Red Bank and are friends with Harig. It's not that someone is being slighted. If you notice there were no Maryville,Alcoa, etc coaches on the list either.

How does Keiwone Malone WR Memphis Mitchell not make the Wr list for the west squad. headed to Alabama. 59 cathces for 1,197 yards abd 22 Tds. Guess Nick saban told him to say thanks but no thanks hugh?? Cause if that didnt happen, this whole list is a joke

I was thinking about Patrick Haskins at Obion County, an athlete who had just under 1500 yards rushing, 900 yards passing, and 100 yards receiving. He totaled over 2500 total yards and there is not even a hint of being on an all-star team?!? Like an earlier poster said, who put the roster together based on what criteria???

Unfortunately these games for the most part are a joke. I'm not sure if they are a fund raiser for a specific cause, coaches supplement, or booster clubs. The coaches are tight with each other and need a fix since their schools are playing round ball and their oblong guys are at Pizza Hut. Giles had a tail back invited 3 years ago. The "all star staff" put him at 2nd string safety. You may have seen him lately. Starter for UT Vols on returns and plays fullback. According to his uncle that was him returning the kickoff in the 2nd half of the Kentucky game. So, what you DON'T get sometimes is really the best thing! :D
