Class AA kinda throws me a little bit...Macon Co who has lost 1 game by 1 point in double overtime...is not even in the top ten...just dont understand it

Looks pretty good overall..Gleason has a chance coming up to keep the number 1 spot I believe by playing Greenfield ..Lake Co has Greenfield coming up in about 10 days or close to that as well.The only team I believe I'd drop is Middleton..I know they're undefeated but not sure they have played that tough a schedule..If they were in District 14A,I believe they would have a few losses..I listened to them against Humboldt and Humboldt had them just about the whole game until about a minute left to play..And it was at Middleton.I believe I'd have Jackson Co or Greenfield at #1 and 2 followed by Gleason,Forrest and Lake Co..with Middleton in the 6th spot..But no big deal..Lake Co will have a shot at moving up if they win against Trenton tonight and have Greenfield and Bradford coming up...I don't see Bradford on the list but I'd have them hovering around the top ten..But again..Bradford has Gleason coming up I believe so things will shake out in our area.!

You are talking about the girls team right?And what game did you see them play that has you thinking that?I'm not saying they're not...but I havent seen too many teams on their schedule that is going to give them very much trouble..I still say if they were playing Lake Co.Greenfield..Bradford..Trenton..Union City..they'd lose some games..Lake Co played them last year and won by about 10 points in a game that Lake Co couldnt hit the ocean in the first half and was down by about 16 points..I believe they lost the big girl,McKinnie..but she was the one that was giving us a hard time..They had some speed at the other positions but we matched up well with them.!I'm just going by the JCM score..20 points and the Humboldt game that I listened to the whole ball game on the radio..Humboldt led just about the whole ball game..!

All Jazzaine McKinney did for Middleton last year was pass the ball. She rarely ever shot, so how did she give ya'll much trouble? She was a big body that never posted up. I believe Middleton is better without her as they are a much quicker team. I'll retract my last statement I made. Middleton may not win it, but I'd bet they'd wind up in the top 2 in that district.

She was the real big girl down low right?If she was..probably had 16 points off shots under the basket the first half..Lake Co did a much better job the second half and caught up and won by about 10 points..Seems like I remember a fast guard they had also..I'm sure they'll be a tough game..especially at their place..I'm just hoping Lake Co is one of the teams in our region still standing..wheter we go to Middleton or not..The best scenario would be for us to stay at home and have the other teams like Gleason,Bradford,or Greenfield ..etc.go to Middleton..I believe they'd do much better on the road.We haven't lost at home yet this year..!

 

I see Gibson Co plays Crockett Co ..You should come on and watch one of your other Gibson Co teams tonight against Lake Co..Finally get to see the old gym that you referred to a couple weeks ago..Could be surprised..And to see hopefully some ESPN style dunks from Lake Co's newest member,Cody Taylor..

My question would be how not one but three people in good conscience could give a first place vote to ANYBODY other than Gibson County in AA...I mean come on, the Lady Pioneers have won 51 straight games, are defending state champions and have already beaten these teams this season: Liberty (+22), Westview (+11), Obion Central (+16 on the road) and Bolivar (+31)....

 

Seriously, I'd like to hear the explanation for that....

For the same reason they slam some middle Tn teams during football season. Ever met any of the voters? About the only one who really knows high school sports is 'Tank' at Oak Ridge. Unfortunately the rest of the state is not blessed as well.

The same voters that dont get out to watch any of the games and know nothing about West Tenn teams and the same voters that voted 3 girls all state last year in Single A that came in about 4th place in their own district and have no idea who T.T. Flowers was !
