If true, it is HUGE for Oakland. They lose Jamal Hughes, Will Walker, Darius Rhodes, and Company. Elder is a legacy at Oakland, and it would make complete sense to come back home

2.) Has deep family ties to Oakland

This is just guess work on my part, but maybe he is not a huge fan of the sub pattern Big Rick seems to love. The kid is a legit player who should be on the floor. Getting subbed in and out every 2 - 3 minutes would be frustrating.

Would he have to sit out a year or will there be a "change of address" to cover that issue?

 

I hope he does go to Oakland. Hillwood High athletics have been wrecked because most of the good athletes in southwest Davidson County go to private schools - like Ensworth. Let EHS do the best they can without Elder since Oakland (And the rest in Rutherford) doesn't get student-athletes from west Nashville to show up and play ball at their school.

Why not come back to a school where the coach has shown he will showcase your talents.

 

Or go to a school where all of his family has gone to, and has a even better coach that will make him look like a star in a motion offense that lives and dies off the fast pace tempo than Elder excels at
