All I know is that it will be played at Woodale High School, but I have yet to find out the match ups for AA. I'm guessing like the past it would start around 3:00 and go on the rest of the evening...

Why at Wooddale? They have really down sized the venue. Wooddale has a busy week with our district being there starting on Saturday. First round is satellited out....

Man, I never thought I'd find myself saying this about the Mphs City Championships--an event that has ALWAYS rated as a "must-see" event, for me:

I have absolutely ZERO interest in seeing any of these matchups, especially WS vs Ridgeway (round #3)!!!!!

----------------------------------------------------------

For me, this year's MCCs are about as anti-climatic as they could ever be-- quite a huge letdown..... Based on the lack of comments posted to this topic (games), I strongly suspect that many other neutral Memphis-area fans share my sentiment.

I sure was hoping to see these more intriguing matchups (I'm generally not into Girls BB):

1) Sheffield vs Manassas -- (I still can't figure out how Trezevant won the tie-breaker over Manassas..... Maybe Manassas' #1 fan, Legend, can shed some light on this situation.)

2) Ridgeway vs Melrose (or even Central)

Oh well....I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles. :thumb:

Good luck to all the participants.

Trader I'm with you on this one. I might still attend because I truly believe it's hard to beat a team three times. I believe White Station might show enough to make this a very good game. I like watching Sheffield with Crawford and Schaffer but I don't know anything about Trezvant...

Didn't Manassas have to forfeit some games? They are seeded last in their district.

Thanks, CoachT.

It seems that is indeed the case, as I have since discovered.

Very interesting.

Manassas should definitely be happy that this issue came to light, BEFORE the District tournament!

    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
    • I heard it was ugly.  Coach Harig and the Redskins demolished what is left of the Dragon Wagon.  At this point, it is not certain that Clinton will even be able to field a football team for 2024.  No way the coach keeps his job, transfers gone, nothing left.  Back to the stone ages for the Dragoons.
    • Not even close, changing over 1000 grades?  Head coach changing grades to keep players on the field?  Not the same.  They will give Lieutenant Flip Flops the "Opportunity to resign"  right after graduation if not before.     Negative, the juvenile court judge blew the whistle.  Clinton admin, teachers and coaches started this fire.  Been going on for 4 years now according to Jones, one of the teachers that was fired.  This is truly pathetic.   The Dragon Wagon is #### up in the ditch down on highway 61 down there near The Spur.  Reap what you sew.
    • What ever happened to the #93 rb that came in and did well last year when yalls RBs we’re going down?
