All tournament team

Hey guys what do they go by to decide who makes the all tournament team?

usally the clock keeper, official book keeper the pa anouncerand maybe another one or two who has seen every game will select who played best in tourney.

Most districts allot a certain number of All Tournament Team members based on a team's finish. For instance, champions get 5, runners up 4, consolation game winner 2, consolation game loser 1.

 

I have never heard of the PA guy, clock keeper, or official scorer having a vote.

I was tourney director of 3 or 4 disrtict tourneys and thats the way we did it because they were the only ones to see every game, now all tourneys may not do it that way and ussally the mvp and at least 3 others are on the championship team and most of time it works to the calculation mentioned above but thats the nature of the tourney. It would be extremely hard to be all tourney in a district of 5-7 teams if you got put out the first game no matter how you played because it should be based on how you play in the complete tournament not how you preformed during season. It would be extremly hard to desinate a certain amount of players to all tourney because you may have three players to dominate on a certain team and win championship and the other two do nothing and still someone has to pick them. Now if every thing is equal the players may be selected to represent the different teams and where they placed would come into play. Its hard to do because someone always get left off who deserves it. And different people have a variety of things they consider, defense, scoring, rebounding and where the teams finished but most of time the people used to select these players have seen a lot of bb.
