Mon. 3/15 vs McKenzie...Varsity plays @ 6:30 PM....JV plays @ 4:30 PM... Thur. 3/18 vs Westview...Varsity plays @ 6:30 PM...JV plays @ 4:00 PM... volfan007 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Share Posted March 15, 2010 Greenfield plays at Obion Central today at 5. at W. Carroll on the 16th at 5. at Gleason on the 18th at 5. So, the season begins. The Greenfield baseball field has been under improvement, so our boys havent had much hitting and fielding and pitching practice on a field. Lots of gym work. volfan007 Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 Great game, Jackets. That was a big win over Obion Central last night. Heath Crouse pitched a great game, and he went all 7 innings. The defense was very, very good. I believe we only had a couple of bobbles on the infield. We had a few pitches get past the catcher, but that's gonna happen in every game....a wild pitch...one just gets by after many, many good blocks, etc. The hitting was good, but is probably the area we need to improve on the most. Base running was very good overall. And, our coach made some good calls during the game. He played it well. Way to go, Jackets. Let's keep it up. One of our best had pitched the night before against Obion Central, and our other best pitcher was being saved for Gleason Thursday...our rivals.
