I guess since the pads have come on its a different outlook for this year. We seem to have average skill players but below avg lineman. WC has some size but we are very weak. The seniors are not being leaders like they should. All the high expectations for a run in the playoffs are now down to having a winning season. I guess the administration and booster club are happy now!

If the new coach can change the work habit and heart factor in the young guys, maybe in a few years we will be able too compete. I think its to late for the older guys. The last good group of seniors were the Paz, Dunn, Mullican, Rich....... that bunch had heart. WC will be a contender in a couple of years, just givem time.

I guess the playoff dream has been blacked out and the only thing remains is how they will finish the season. The best they can do is another 5-5 season and many wonder if they will give up and finish with a 3-7 season. If they finish 3-7, it will be the worst team in the last 7 years. Whats the word? :popcorneater:

what games are left?

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
