Soddy Daisy Trojans beat Cookville in the bottom of the 7th with a double by Taylor Dalton scoring James Fowlkes from second. Damo also hit a 3 run Homer scoring Zach Stephens and (Zach Keller) pinch running for Dalton Rogers.

 

Trojans (30-5) (12-3) (1-0) get clutch hitting and relief pitching late, as they send Cookeville home , 4-3

Fans and players from Soddy Daisy traveling to Manchester tomorrow will likely have to take a detour on their way back home. The East-bound land of I-24 near Pelham (mile marker 6) has a 30 ft wide, 20 ft deep sinkhole develop today. Traffic has been backed up for miles. They are re-routing traffic down US Hwy 41E, but it is VERY slow going...maybe 5-10 mph depending on the time of day. They were taking all east-bound traffic off I-24 at Exit 114 in Manchester and back onto I-24 at the Pelham exit (127). TDOT estimates it won't be repaired until 5/22/2010.
