I have to agree that this list doesn't make a whole lot of sense...It is no doubt a great group of ball players listed, but I keep on reading from guru and noitall about how fair this voting is done. You guys say "Each nominated player comes with a stats sheet and they are voted on by that;" or you say "Mamas and Daddys are mad because their Princess didn't make the list." I'm just wondering how you would explain 3 Lincoln County Players being named as 1st team, and the MVP of 8AAA being recognized as 2nd team. It just seems a little off to me, but Hey, what do I know? I'm just a fan. :popcorneater:

Hey the coaches vote on the players and we take the votes and go from there. I have the list if you want to see the votes. I am just one of many coaches who voted. She is a great player. Maybe more teams should see her play. Dont blame me. She can hit on my team anyday

Hard to argue with those three players from Lincoln they can play on anybodys team.

nobody needs to see your list, coach, :roflol: and noone thinks the votes were incorrectly counted...like i said earlier; its a great group of players. you've got to admit its weird, though. but, hey, if that's what those stats sheets you guys studied say, then everything is as it should be...good luck to ya! :roflol:

MTSCA is a organization that teams may or may not choose to join. If a member school chooses not to send in a ballot for voting then #s from some "All" teams can be skewed. Overall MTSCA has been a well-run organization and been an asset to middle tennessee softball and the girls. I appreciate the fact that they recognize academics during the year.

From my observations this organization was started to promote interest in sport of Girl's Softball by recognizing players & teams, grant money for scholarships, conduct the MTSCA tournament to give all teams a fair opportunity to compete at their level, pick All-Stars from each division and let them play each other in a round robin, then select a group from these players to represent Tennessee against the Kentucky All-Stars. A lot of work and time volunteered by a group that probably gets little if any pay.

Why do we want to have negative remarks about a group that is trying to promote Girl's Sports? Instead of running their decisions down we should be praising them for the efforts they put into it!!!

The praise will be more deserved when you figure out a way to get it right...the intentions are good but we know where intentions get us...so pardon me for only respecting your intentions....this post has only been edited for the best interest of a kid.

So yes Guru I would like to see this list you have. I am betting this kid was not even on it. If she was you tell me again how the picks were made and expose the "homers".

If you are playing high school ball to add to a resume you are making a mistake. That's like a soldier looking for medals...all they are going to do is get someone killed and they are only in if for themselves....not much of a team mate.

This time of year your focus should be on what can we do to get better for next year instead of whining about why yours was left out. Hit the ball out of the park about 20 times next year and she will be on the list.

Remember it is a small and very connected world. With the internet and face book and all word gets around quick about who is a whiner. I am sure any future prospective college coaches would love to see your posts about this.

If you are that unhappy I would move her or have her just run track or some other individual sport. Mine is thinking about giving it up and going out for the Dance Team. She said something about Clay Busters but I figured she would shoot her foot off and forever be known as "Stumpy" plus I can't afford one of those new fangled repeating shot guns. On the stations where they have multiple targets she would have to shoot at the first on and just throw it at the next one. Not a good thing with Grand Ma Myrtles old single shot 10 guage. Plus I hear they won't let you load gravel and rock salt and that's all I know how to load.

Good Luck
