The best 1990's team was Don Lockridge's 1997 18A ASA National Champions Nashville Eagles. Led by Brook Seibel this team was great.

 

The Energizers were a good team but there are at least 5 I can think of off the top of my head that were better (in no specific order:

 

1. Frank Reed's 16U Parker Eagles in 1996

2. Brentwood Steel 16U in 1995

3. Chris William's 14U-18U Parker Eagles from 1997 2000

4. Frank Reed's 18U Chattanooga Eagles in 1999

5. T.E. Elite 16U in 1998

By the same token, was Seibel's Father Ryan team the best

high school team ever in the state, or would one of the

Ezell teams beat them out?

You are leaving out the Chattanooga Stars. State Champions in 1996, 1998, 2000. NSA World Series Champion-1996 and finished 5th twice and 9th once. Colorado Fireworks 5th place twice, ISA National Champs 1997, and on and on and on.....the dog howls.........

The Elite met the Parker Eagles 7 times during 2001 going 3-3-1 against them, the tie being in the losers bracket finals of the Memorial tournament when the rains hit. The Elite finsihed 13th in the gold nationals and the Eagles 27th. I think we could hang with them fairly well.

The best high school team to me was Amy Robertson's senior year Baylor team I believe that was 1994 or 95. The 2001 Beech team might be the second best all round team.

Std, this Baylor team was a little before my time, but

I've always heard the Ryan and Ezell teams were some of the

best as well, also Beech was good in 2001 along with the

outstanding Giles Co. team that won the state that year and

beat almost everyone they played.
