How Much Do Schools Get

From The State FOr each Student That Goes to their school. Im sure its not enough but id like to know. Id like to see how the compare to each other public/private for example Ezell Costs 5000/yr to attend that is including books.

I think it's more relevant to look at the total expenditures per student, including presumed capital depreciation, etc. When public education "cost per pupil" is calculated, it normally does not include any cost for the physical plant, whereas the private schools are paying their's off.

 

Conversely, the tuition cost per pupil in the privates does not reflect the actual costs, as in some cases, the tuition is in effect subsidised by endowment funds, contributions, etc. It's not a real easy "apples-to-apples" comparison.

Very good points because many of the private schools were founded with an endowment. TYhose types of things are variables that you cant really take into effect and there are founded with these moneys. That is something i hadnt thought about but still the question exist of what it costs the taxpayers to send one kid to school for one school year. I think i have heard it was 4ooo a year and that didnt pay for all of it.
