Wise move on the rumormill. LOL Coach Dejarnette is a good coach, so they probably wanted him. He is a good coach right? You are a CA fan, if memory serves. I would imagine a lot of teams in this district or region would.

All good, just different.

i've always thought he was a pretty good coach, yes. a lot of people i know (not necessarily from CA) would say when we played them (primarily the bigger schools, such a spring hill) would say the players would be out of control, or not necessarily well coached. but that particular comment i really remember happened when they were younger, such as when williams was a freshman and sophomore and the group that played around that time.

I wouldn't say that CA don't have anything for a long time behind these guys. I believe four of the players returning from last years team that either started or got a lot of PT are Jrs this season. Plus last year middle school team was runner up in the county tournament. Yes... I know that was middle school but CA's middle school teams are usually pretty good and finish in the top two of the county. This years middle school team has two of the best guards around that will make a impact on the high school team in the next few years. They are the Cary twins.

you are exactly right about the cary twins...they are 2 of the best 15yr old 8th graders you will ever see...maybe i should hold my son back a yr or so for competitve reasons..and he would be a superior athlete to the 12 and 13 yr olds in middle school..and lets not even talk about what c.a. tried to pull last year when the better 1 of the 2 fouled out and the coach tried to switch jerseys with his twin to go back in..sounds like all the morals i want my kids to learn

:ugeek: someone has a grudge, but the topic is Culleoka, not middle schoolers

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
