Well the McCallie scrimmage didn't turn out the way I'd hoped, 23yds of total offense(ouch)! I thought Boyd still had a big line? And where were the running backs, Meadows and Reed? Will everyone be ready to suit up next Friday?

Everyone dressed out, Meadows did not practice all week. He played D last night, Reed ran the ball once I think. Boyd has a lot of work to do and McCallie is better than they been in the last few Years. Daniel McClure for McCallie ran like he was on a mission.

I was kind of shocked at how flat Boyd came out playing against McCallie..... #76 and #78 are big boys and should open up some holes on the left side of the offense but it seemed like one would open up last night and McCallie would close quickly...... I was impressed with how well McClure from McCallie ran the ball to be as small as he is....

After watching both team in the jamboree. I still think the Bucs line will take over and it will be a blow out, not as bad as last year. CCS looks like they have a better team than last year.

Game may be close for 3 quarters and the the Bucs will pull away. Go Bucs.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
