from sunbright we say we are sorry to oakdale players. that wasnt right. we will get them back for you all.

Wartburg may have put their starters back in at the end of the game, but Oakdale tried an onside kick after they scored so apparently oakdale still wanted 2 make a game out of it.. if they didnt want the Wartburg starters back in they should've jus played. It looked 2 me like they thought they were still in it.

Wow, thought they were still in it? That sounds like the mouth of the cocky Rodney Ellison talking. I know for a fact that neither onside kick was intentional. They were horrible pop kicks in an attempt to keep the ball away from Spence. Even if they thought they were still in it, it was 49-14 with 5 minutes left with a running clock. I can live with them putting the starting defense back in to keep oakdale from scoring which would have made sure that oakdale didn't score 5 touchdowns in 5 minutes, but the starters back on offense and throwing the ball was a little much. Yes they did get a big gain on a screen pass but that play didn't score. They did however pass the ball again to score which wasn't a screen pass. So yes, very classless at wartburg. They have an amazing team this year and shouldve handled that a little differently.

It is just hard competitiveness they just kept playing, ppl always think if they get crushed that ppl are running up the score that is not true, maybe somewhat of it since putting starters back in but Oakdale was trying to score too, so why didnt they just take it easy and ride out the clock

Oakdale was still playing and kept giving to ryan powers against Wartburgs small and inexperienced freshmen. If Oakdale was going to give the ball to their best running back and punish Wartburg's 3rd string it would have made me mad 2. I completely see why they went back in the game.
