Greeneville Band Wins Chattanooga Choo-Choo Classi

[Challenger]

The Greeneville High Marching Band won the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Classic at Hixson High School Saturday evening.

 

Greeneville took top honors in the their classification and also the Grand Champion for most points amoung the 13 bands competing.

 

They'll be back on the field at Volunteer on Friday , then compete at Seymour Saturday. Always tough Cleveland will probably be there as well.

I noticed from your name "mrsoddydaisy" that those comments come from someone whose band did not even place at Chattanooga.....Sour grapes maybe?

Bands are allowed to play at halftime so the players can rest and the fans can go to the bathroom and concession stand. Band practices 12 months a year during and after school when is the TSSAA going to start monitoring band OH! I forgot they don't monitor anything now.

A lot of schools that have a reputable band, like Greeneville and Dobyns-Bennett, go to see both the football game and the band. If you really want to talk about bands, then go to a N.C.A&T game. They really throw-down! But this is a football board, and bandsa are a part of football, just like the student sections and mascots.
