SURPRISE TEAMS?

Who are the surprise teams to this point? Are there any teams out there that have started off better or worse than we might have thought?

 

For me i have a couple. Powell- I knew that Powell was going to have a pretty good team this year, but i didnt think they would come out and win the first 2 games by such a large margin. My hats off to Powell for such a great start.

 

Hardin Valley- It doesnt surprise me that HV wins their first game against Carter, but it does surprise me that they lose such a close one to Knox West.

Hardin Valley will just continue to get better and i believe will be the best team in District 3 AAA in a couple more years.

What is going on with the Cookeville Cavaliers?

I just think that Giles Co. and Tullahoma are in tougher districts and play tougher opponents. I know Cookeville beat Giles Co last year, but i think Giles Co. was ready for them this year. Cookeville will only get better as the season goes along....i think playing good teams, only makes you better. Cookeville should be just fine in thier district!

Ooltewah owls are 2-0 and ranked 7th in new ap poll.Nobody gave owls a chance,our local paper didn't have in thier top 10 in the area until they beat austin-east.

bippity boppity! You know our paper has a bunch of Ooltewah haters! I have not seen many of the times free press around! We only get love from darrell patterson on channel 9! Its sad but the under dog role i could get used to!
