Both teams coming off a loss.....anyone have any ideas how this would shapes up? I couldn't find another topic with these two teams, so thought I would ask. Lewis got it handed to them pretty bad last week, and Page was upset......so wondering how these two will respond. Curious about this match-up. A win here by either team could be the jump start for the rest of the season. One of the stat pack members is crow hunting already, after this week if Lewis gets a loss......might want to start heating up the pan.

Who would have thought they both would be coming in this way. Page home field.....Lewis took to big whippings..no defense. If LCHS can find some offense to keep up with page......could be a game, but based on what I have read........Page should take this one.

Our region's threads are really tame and I guess the fans have all went to old fan graveyard in the endzone.

 

I sure dont miss pistpatriot though...........is Lewis Co really down that much or is the coaching still not up to 4a speed. of course all my talk means nothing if LC puts it on us tonight....but I got a better feeling

I'm the stat pack member that said that LC would go 8-2/7-3 this year. I was bird hunting for crow, but received a call on the game with a min. or two left LC was up 38-13. I put the gun up for now......I still think that the teams are down this year...Page (although I thought Page would be better) Springhill etc. from last year. I thought after last year with Page, Giles, Sprinhill and Marshall, that they would be down...after tonight, makes me start to look right. My friend said that Page looked awful. Way to go LC, the birds are safe for another week...lol. Springhill is next.....if you pull out a win there, it will be the step to a good run. Giles.....is going to be your big test. But......I still can see the record there.....Guessing wins over Springhill, Giles (tough test) Marshall, Wayne......and of course Hickman and East, and a tough one with Fairview, hard to tell yet what they have so far.

 

Congrads to LC. Save a bird.......another win next week.

Buddy......I still feel pretty good......Lewis won the game...we played with what we had....if those out cant come back...we win one more game or two....if they return.....we will be in the thick of things.....

 

The Bulldog always feels pretty good....my team may be hurting bit I feel pretty good...thank you for asking about me....that is so kind.

 

Lewis improved a lot...

 

Guys....I still think that our region is down a notch......youth....injuries.........lack of talent.....things are going to have to jell to see things go.

 

I pick Giles and Fairview right now

      OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.

      They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.

      The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.

      I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
