jackpot1255
Don't count HC out of the race. They have adjusted to their new coach and I see them surprising a lot of people this year.

jackpot1255
Who is there new coach...? Is Skelton still there...? Coach is Daryl Cox he was there last year but the transistion was a little rough. His level of play was higher than what they were used to and it took them a while to get to where he wanted them to be. No, Skelton graduated. I think Roper, Monroe and Featherstone will be key players.
PLAY10A
The twins are gone from McEwen, but the new backcourt might be the best in the district with Garrett Mullinacks and David Harbison... Better vision, more reliable... If they find a guy that can step up in the middle to grab rebounds and put backs they should be very tough... Thinking of McEwen, did the big boy graduate? This kid was a force in the middle, good ball player. I think a McEwen parent told me that he actually just started playing a year or two ago. I can't remember his name. I gotta get my basketball brain working again!

Walt Andrews is the kid from McEwen your thinking of... He graduated and I belive he is now playing for Bethel in McKenzie, TN... McEwen should have a new center in this year that transferred in, 6'6" kid that should fit in the system pretty well... If he gets playing time early on... McEwen could challenge Clarksville Academy by Feburary...
jackpot1255
Is McEwen playing in any Hall of Fame games or have any pre-season scrimmages?

Good for him!!
youthsportsPIX
Your right. Just looked up Bethel's website and there he is. List him at 6'8 on their roster. Good for him!! It is good that Nashville Christian is being over looked as they should have a solid team this year. They only lost one senior from last year and Coach Anderson should add to his impressive career win total that is now around 1030 or something ridiculous. The Eagles will be a sleeper team that may surprise the district this year. It is unfortunate that everyone in the district has to play the very strong Clarksville Academy team, who is looking for another state title. innocentbystander
those 3 will certainly be factors. Throw Hammond in the mix and HC has the capabilities to surprise teams in 10A. Roper has developed into a strong post player, and with the outside shooting from Featherstone and Monroe they should be able to put points on the board. Their defense is what I am waiting to see. MrTSSAA
Played with Roper a few times over the last couple of months... Good size and athleticism... IF he can work on some basic fundamentals to get to the basket he could be pretty tough... Needs to play a little more physical as well... TitansFan83
NCS tips off tomorrow at home against USN. Should be interesting to see how they mesh since the football players just ended their season last friday.
