garland, mcanallly, shelton, and bosheers head a very stout Lawrence County defense. I haven't heard much on Shelbyville but unless they are just loaded with playmakers, I see lc's defense carrying the cats to another w. Iv heard these two teams have had bad blood over the past couple years and that they absolutely despise each other so if any of this is true I expect a very hard hitting, high emotion game in front of a packed house on Thursday night. should be a good game... for awhile. LC takes this one 35-6

I agree that Lawrence County should win this game and the defense needs to play well. This defense absolutely needs to play like they did against Coffee County and not anything like they did against Franklin County! If they do they will be OK. I am not sure about the bad blood. I believe that is basketball. I do expect a very physical game but I am uncertain about the large crowd due to the fair being in Lawrenceburg and the concert. I guess the true fans will still come out. Lawrenceburg needs the players they have been missing back and they also need to put points on the board becasue their defense is good but not great!

With that being said about LCHS, it also appears Shelbyville has some injuries. Their good RB appears to have a shoulder injury and is questionable. If he is out the Stewart kid will have to carry this team. They have some weapons but if the LCHS defense can key on just him it will surely be a hard night for Shelbyville.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
