VolunteerCoach
Is Ericson an MUS LB, also where is Caruthers in school? I have not heard much from him. Yeah Ericson is a LB for MUS who has been out hurt all year. But dickinson is the stud LB who is probably the best LB in all the State. He signed with Illinois already but will most likely get offers from SEC schools before it is all over. The Caruthers kid plays Center for MUS and the East High Coach told me he was the best he has seen but not sure if he has any offers yet. Looks pretty good but you may have too many middle Tenneesse guys on there. Two you should add would be Trey Becton receiver for Briarcrest, he has signed with Southern Miss and Hunter Long at tackle he has signed with Georgia. On Defense on the line you should add Matt Murphy of Christian Brothers. Good Luck with your list.

Yes I live in middle Tennessee so thats where most of my exposure is, and I am not too informed on the Memphis athletes. That's why every ones opinion is necessary. Tampa2
My all state thus far would be Offense QB-C.J. Beathard-BGA QB-Matthew Hamby-BA RB-Victor Cairo-BA RB-Nantambu Fentress-Ensworth OL-Antonio Richardson-Ensworth OL-Austin Hicks-McCallie OL-Ben Still-MUS OL-Blake Tompson-BGA OL-Graham Shuler-BA WR-Weldon Garlington-BA WR-Keenan Hale-McCallie Defense DL-Kennan Crenshaw-Ensworth DL-John Mackey-Baylor DL-Jarrod Coleman-McCallie DL-Woody Barron-BA DL-Andrei Lucachi-MBA LB-Davis Helton-Baylor LB-Zach Erickson-MUS LB-James Kay-MBA DB-Corn Elder-Ensworth DB-Derek King-BA DB-Joe Reigle-MBA DB-Josh Smith-BGA I'd put Prevost from Ensworth in at LB. He's been all over the field and leads Ensworth in Tackling. Btw it's his first year playing the position.

Btw it's his first year playing the position. Yes I have seen him play and he is a good player. He is much better suited at defensive end though. I know it is his first year playing, but you have to take into account more than tackles (i.e. reads, pass coverage, doing your job every play, etc), and those are some of the things he seems to need work on. He has a great body for the position, I just think he is more of a natural defensive end, which makes me reluctant to include him in the all state talk. I will not be surprised if he is all region honorable mention though. He is a good player.

owlbooster
SBA's Wilkins brothers are studs....I doub't anyone has the numbers they do....although weak competion. I agree. They are "off the radar screen" until late in the season when SBA plays their league games.
reed11588
After his performance against BA I find it almost impossible to leave Jacob Huesman of Baylor off the list of all state contenders. He is definitely one of the most impressive offensive players in the state.
