Rabble Rouser
The back line of Michelle Spangler, Sophie Mullin, Liz Kidwell and Ashley Henry all had a fantastic game for the Irish as well as the rest of the team. Gabby Gurrola's left footed rocket (from the 24) at the 33 minute mark in the second half put the Irish up 1-0 with Baylor tying it up at the 9 minute mark. Great game for the Irish. Certainly their best game of the season. I would add that Coach Schemi deserves a good deal of credit as well. He has stuck with the girls this year and worked very hard in trying to find the right formula, and in trying to get the girls to understand their roles. He also had a really good game plan last. Hopefully, it is all coming together at the right time. The real season starts in October and hopefully ends in November.
CHAMPDDS
Thought I would copy this over to this thread to see if anyone has any input regarding Riverdale cancelling last minute against their game against Notre Dame (Scheduled for today) ChattanoogaCannon, on 06 October 2010 - 08:03 PM, said: Supposedly, the Riverdale coach was not aware of the game yet the game is on their web site. I sure would like to hear from the Riverdale camp regarding this, seems silly that it was on their very own school website schedule, but was overlooked ? And I have heard that Coach Jim (ND) wanted to possibly reschedule for this Saturday, but Riverdale said they are on Fall Break and couldn't (But their Fall Break, according to their school website is this week, but they still played a game on Tuesday ? ) ...I was looking forward to the game... MVM
Source is Times Free-Press: Shots SD 16 GPS 8 Saves SD 8 GPS 11 Was every single GPS shot really on goal? Of course I watched the game thru Blue and Gold glasses, and yes GPS had some good chances, but I thought Soddy had more and better quality chances. Either way it was a great game for both teams and should help both sides for the post season.

CHAMPDDS
Baylor 2 CCS 0 Definitely a Baylor controlled night...Baylor should have/could have capitalized on at least 3+ more goals... Baylor really needs to work on their finishing skills..way too many missed opportunities within the 6... D

Sounds like a liberal scorekeeper.

No, 18 shots on frame sounds about right. That's why in my original post I was curious about the shot count.
