District 7AAA May be the 'BCS-Buster' of current playoff system?

If Blackman, Oakland and Smyrna win in week 9 and then Oakland wins at Smyrna and Blackman beats Riverdale there may be some upset Bulldog fans. Why? Post-Season Seeding....

Blackman (5-1, 9-1)

Oakland (5-1, 9-1)

Smyrna (5-1. 8-2)

 

Why is Smyrna #3? Because they lost at Ensworth. Why is it important? If Smyrna meets Blackman or Oakland in the playoffs where will the game be played? Hmm?????

No different than last year when Oakland finished 8-2 and had to play 9-1 Mt. Juliet in the first round..........

Difference is that three teams from same district finished tied in district play, each won one and lost one against each other, but Oakland beat Ensworth, Smyrna lost to Ensworth and Blackman didn't even play Ensworth Ensworth (or any non-district game) should not be a factor. Put it this way. If Smyrna played Cane Ridge and Blackman played Ensworth how would Blaze fans feel if they were the (8-2) team instead of the (9-1) team????

I would think that Smyrna should have beaten the team that Blackman just beat. Oakland.

If smyrna wins out no issue, if they don't then they get seeded wherever it puts them. As for your question sure would not like it but that is the way it is. PS don't overlook brentwood, plus if they are all in quad 3 we get to do it all over again.

Blackman could very easily lose to Brentwood or Riverdale. There both really good teams.
