I didnt sat that Cornersville deserved top 10. You asked who i was there to watch. Watched as many games as i could and was only impressed with 1 team.

I didn't say anything about Cornersville and top 10. I believe the smallest margin of victory for Forrest out of 3 games was 15 points. Two out of the three games were against AA opposition. Forrest outside shooters weren't hitting at all, I will grant you that, but that will not happen every game. As far as Summertown goes, they are always good. They have one of the best point guards around. We play them twice during the regular season and should be great games.

And i fully intend on catching some of Forrest's games this season. I was just saying that after Saturday's games they didnt deserve top 10. I may be proven wrong come Feb. Maybe i will catch the Forrest/Summertown games. I enjoy wathing that little point guard Summertown has.

    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
    • Hopefully you’re not signing off for good. There are a lot of Oak Ridge fans that appreciate your comments.
    • Florida tried urban/rural split two years ago. 4 urban classes, 4 rural classes. Didn’t work. Next year they will have 7 regular classes, 1 urban class for small schools only.
